Re: Sangean ATS-405 thoughts?
I have been using the Skywave just about daily since Christmas and today, it still works the same as it did when I removed it from its blister pack.

My guess is the Skywave is popular on this group. How have they been holding up? I think I looked at that radio and the ETON trav III and chose the ETON back in the Spring which has already failed to

Thanks, I am sure I read those reviews before but forgot about the not so good SW performance. One says the PL-310ET beats the ATS 405 on SW I think. It is supposed to have good audio for a portable

I don't have one, but Jay gave it a generally favorable review. He reports it is good on AM, so-so on SW but better with a clip on antenna (there is no built-in antenna jack). Cabinet LOOKS very

Sangean ATS-405 thoughts?
Although not an ULR, I am looking for an under $100 radio with SW and pretty good audio for program listening
Does anyone have this model Sangean?
Is there something else I should look at?

I'll second that. What an amazing catch.
Just ran a plot on KNSS towards your direction. They are pumping only 1730 watts at you in their pattern null at the takeoff angle required to hit you. Some

990 WXCT is in Southington (just down the hill from me).
WACM on 1490 is its sister station and it is in Springfield.

Two New ULR Logs- It's Been a While...
A real dry spell with ULR DXing due to something called life, but I was able to log two new ULR stations tonight:
970 WZAN Portland ME, 404 miles, 1800 Eastern. "News Radio 970 WZAN" and local ads.
