There is a version of the upright, or vertical ULR Tecsun on Ebay which does have SSB. I think it is sometimes sold as a County Comm product. So you might look into that radio to see what chip it

I received my Skywave today and found that, when listening to 7.385 MHz on shortwave - I was getting bleedin from a big local Portland, OR, AM station - 1190 KEX. So the Skywave will be heading back
