Hello All,
The high band featured some fair signals from several Asian regulars this morning, but without much of a sunrise enhancement boost. The low band never seemed to get untracked, and overall

FSL Antennas revisited
Has any one tried making an FSL antenna using different length ferrite rods?
I am wondering how much the performance would be compromised if a mix of (say) 190mm and 100mm rods were used instead of

Re: KDUN AM 1030
I'd have to think about that definition.
KDUN's transmitter location is inland along a river that empties into the Pacific.
KNX (1070) would then qualify as a coastal transmitter even though it is

Re: KDUN AM 1030
wiki confirms 630 watts at night.
KIRO in Seattle (710KHz) is supposedly 50KW D/N but i have KSPN (710KHz) in Los Angeles to contend with.

SONY MODIFICATIONS
www.fixup.net used to be a website that did mods on Sony pocket radios but the site no longer works and I am assuming they are out of business. Is anyone else doing mods on the Sony's?

KDUN AM 1030
I have noticed over the last week that KDUN AM 1030 from Reedsport Oregon has not been turning down its 50 KW daytime power at sunset. The feed would appear to be totally computer controlled as it

Re: Project - Storage Clipboard Ultralight DXing Carry Case
Update - 6/2/2015:
This case is no more, it broke along the hinge this morning, I suspect I was putting too much in it :(
I am now back to using my old case, I have also resized some of my log sheets
