Hi Gary - An armchair question/observation abt broadband FSL vs tunable, very narrow passband FSL. What makes UL-DU DX possible for you, with an admittedly 'lesser' receiver and what does the Perseus

Re: Tecsun 380 - Longwave stopped working
This sounds like a not uncommon problem with modern keypads
and micro-switches : contact corrosion or wear.
I have disassembled keypads and microswitches and gently cleaned the
carbon-coated and PCB

Re: WBT's Digital Test - "Is There Hope For A Digital AM Band?"
Is there hope? Maybe your CATV provider will come to the rescue. Most internet radio stations are not relays of real radio stations... just a jukebox of pre-programmed listening based upon your likes.

Does this PL-390 cheat sheet also apply to the PL-380? I was looking for a PL-380 cheat sheet and this is as close as I could find.... Obviously they are not identical... I just got the radio this

Re: Tecsun 380 - Longwave stopped working
I think I've now broken both my MW/LW and FM buttons (they press but don't do anything). Now the only way I can get into FM is by resetting the batteries (as the default is FM). Shortwave still

Re: Tecsun 380 - Longwave stopped working
The LW range can be switched on and off.
Switch off the radio and hold down the MW/LW button.
EIther "LW ON" or "LW OFF" will appear. If it's "LW OFF" let the button go and then hold it down again

Tecsun 380 - Longwave stopped working
My Tecsun 380 has always suffered from having "hard to push" buttons.
After a year of light use long wave stopped working. I can get into MW by pressing the MW/LW button, but if I press it too long I

Tecsun PL 380 AM tuning?
Hi group.
Can anyone with a newer PL 380 tell me if it tunes MW using 10kHz increments (not fast slow)? The Grundig G8 which is almost the same radio does 10 kHz only however early reviews of the PL

Hello Allen,
Thanks very much for your comments on the recent cliff-side DXpeditions.
It would be great if I could track down exotic DX from my living room on an oceanfront estate in a prime DXing

Depressingly true - probably...
To the rear-guard referred to in the last two lines below,
the term "wireless" conveys a superior meaning :-)

Also, Get Off My Lawn! :-)
You're right, of course, and I'm not sure they would even bother with
something like iHeartradio because the same device has 2000 of their
favorite songs available
