Re: Newfoundland Ultralight Radio Logs June 29
Richard, I'd think that Brazil on 1100 would be a better bet for you? What ever you can get from WTAM should be gone in an AU and also nulled when you aim at Brazil. I don't think KRDY is that strong

The auroral conditions were subsiding by the time it was dark here last evening. I tried to listen but the northern stations, including 990 CBW, were returning. I noticed some of the TV/FM

Newfoundland Ultralight Radio Logs June 29
Hello To All,
Another strong opening from the south last night as a multitude of Brazilian stations were audible here in the "Hope". This particular opening lasted approximately an hour or so and

Re: Tescum Pl-210 Aligment Instructions Needed
Will do a deep check later today, and advise if any success.
BTW, the brand name is Tecsun, not Tecsum. Those conducting their own searches that search on Tecsum will not likely find much.

Tescum Pl-210 Aligment Instructions Needed
I received a lot of responses but no one addressed what I really wanted or asked for.
I would like to know if anyone has a schematic or the alignment instruction so I can align my Tescum Pl-210?

Re: Tescum Pl-210 Alignment Instructions or Schematic Needed
Well, you COULD use both, but for most modern receivers, you -- and the receiver too -- are usually better off using a frequency counter to set items like the PLL base frequency oscillator trimmer, LO

In addition, this kind of adjustment is best accomplished with a properly attached frequency counter. In many instances, there is no better or more accurate substitute.

Re: A Tecsun R-2010D review
Correction, the message should read: My recommendation is to select one of the small DSP models. At 38.95 cubic inches, the R-2010D "does not" meet the definition of an ultralight receiver.

Re: A Tecsun R-2010D review
It's too bad Tecsun left out the switchable IF filters. Many of their small DSP models can select from 5 bandwidths, which is a very useful feature.
