Hello To All,
Scanning the band early this morning I was hearing quite a number of stations carrying the Coast to Coast AM program with George Noory. Among these were the stations more commonly

Well, it depends on your personal taste and exact implementation. I like PL-390's way of slow/fast more that PL-660's. However, tuning analog knob of my favorite ultracompact SONY ICF-4900(aka 5100)

Hello To All,
Good propagation continues here in the "Hope". This afternoon there was a very strong opening from the Russian regions and later followed by another strong opening with many of the IRIB

Re: Degen De1126 firmware re-appeared on www.degen.com.cn
The steps would be nice, but that automatic step increase when turning the dial is the WORST feature of the Tecsun's. Just a PITA.
If you take a look at the firmware file in a hex editor, you can see

Degen De1126 firmware re-appeared on www.degen.com.cn
Today I've found DE1226 firmware reappeared on official site.
http://www.degen.com.cn/download.asp
Look at 0.1.9
0.1.9 does NOT cure deaf SW and MP3 dropouts.
I wish somebody would rework Degen's

Re: MW stations as at January 2013 New Zealand
A very impressive collection of long-range DX, Tony! Your reception of WOKB-1680 in Winter Garden, FL (1 kW at 8,154 miles/ 13,123 km) on the PL-380 is especially awesome.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for posting the updated list of New Zealand AM stations in our Ultralightdx file section.
Many of those Kiwi stations can produce awesome signals here on the North American west

FIVE new ULR loggings to close out 2012
Took about an hour centered around my local sunset, on New Years Eve and was rewarded with FIVE new ULR logs and two new overall ones! A good way to close out the year.
