Brian, thanks for the query. I use a 7½inch ferrite rod
with a LW coil andtuning capacitor at one and and
a separate MW coil and tuning capacitor at the other end.

I got my Super SAT used at a hamfest about 6 years ago and I'd be willing to bet that the design has been improved since then. It may also have had some hard use/abuse by a previous owner

Thanks Tom, I'm seeing 12 turns on the inside piece of the quilting hoop, evenly spaced, with a 10-365 mf tuning capacitor, plus the modification for the high end. Looks very nice by the way,
