Re: A PL-606 observation
I do use the ETM feature on my PL-360. However, the 360 is easier to tune in 9/10 kHz steps than the 606. It will still take a little getting use to. With the exception of the ICF-2010, I've never

Good review. I usually use ETM mode to tune stations. This will pick up all strong and weaker stations at my location. Then with one simple click of the tuning wheel these stations are easily listened

A PL-606 observation
I only just received a Tecsun PL-606 in the mail. a quick check show it is quite sensitive. A side by side check against the PL-310 and 380 at mid-day found it beat out the 380, and appeares to be

New stations heard 11/17/10
Hi everybody,
Conditions have been quite good the past few days. I have been camped out on frequencies which could bring in new states. Nothing new yet but in the process I did record a few regional

Re: PL-606
Although the topic here is the PL-606, I would like to add that I find the PL-210's tuning knob to be better than the PL-310's for fast/slow. I have many occasions where the 310's knob goes fast even

It would be useful to the discussion if there has ever been a battery powered radio under 20 cubic inches, costing less than $100, with both synch detection and SSB that someone wishes we consider to

I do agree with Jay Heyl's opinions here. In short to open the door to circumventing the rules invites opinions not wanted/desired/within the scope of the group. I too also believe that DSP radios

Now that's funny, Jay!
First, I also use an AR7030+ for spotting. Now, what did that cost originally? We won't even talk about the cost of using a Perseus, including hard disk additions, for

Having been a monitor for a couple of amateur repeaters years back, and having been publisher for a radio club, I wouldn't expect to see warnings publicly on list. That should be done privately

Re: PL-606
I also would prefer manual speed setting but the auto speed select can work well...I am pretty happy with the way it works in the PL-310...it usually seems pretty predictable and natural.
