For those hesitant to mount a large external plug-in loopstick on their
Tecsun PL-360 because of weight considerations, the system pictured below
provides a perfect solution.
A 3/8" I.D. rubber air hose (glued to the loopstick frame) fits securely
around the whip antenna tip as the 7.5" upgrade loopstick is plugged into the
antenna jack, providing a weight-sharing system that also protects the
loopstick from sudden sideway bumps. With rubber shock mounts
also used to attach the 7.5" loopstick to the frame, the ferrite
bar is well protected from sudden bumps coming from other
directions.
