Thanks for your comments Stephen. Recorded in New Zealand at 0700 UTC which is midnight PST. Sorry I don't note db readings.
I also moved to 1699.(not in clip uploaded) at the 6 4 3 kHz positions the signal is crisper and there is no audible difference in the steps. Only at 2 and 1 is the tone decline noticeable.Regards,
