Considering that the "new" E100 still does this well on
MW, I wonder how good the old one was...

I wondered whether the E10 received a similar internal
redesign - however, it looks like it was just discontinued
instead.

Interestingly, the Eton website lists the E100 under "Past
Collection" (as well as the G4 that just came out early this
year - huh?!), while the worldwide Lextronix site shows it
as a current model. To aid confusion even more, Universal
Radio sell a Grundig-branded equivalent G100 that does not
appear anywhere at all.
