We were all beginners at one point, and we were all in desperate need of advice and assistance. The only way to make progress is to ask questions, especially with experts like Peter who can provide helpful guidance.

The general guideline was to encourage everyone to remember that group postings go out to 1,000+ members, and consider that extended conversations between two individuals might better be handled by private email.

Despite this there certainly was never any intention to discourage anyone to post to our group, much less to consider anyone's postings as unwanted. The group forum works best with maximum group participation, as long as such participation has value to multiple members of the group.
