Oh that's interesting Peter, I had seen this XHDATA before but didn't twig it had recording facility. I've got the Tivdio version of the 115 but have never tried using the line in socket. Being a lapsed nature recordist (due to I'll health) I've got several recorders I could use. What I have been doing on the odd occasion is to use my iPhone video option to record both sound and vision. Okay, the audio quality may not be quite up to direct line-in standard, but it's normally good enough. If I'm listening on an analogue receiver it also shows dial position.
