Thank you, the PL330 sounds like it might be a winner. I hope to build my collection as I get more involved in the hobby but for the moment I am starting out basic and will expand on that.

It's true that your Icon R75 doesn't quite qualify as an Ultralight, but you can get very detailed information about which portables are currently at the top of the line in the pocket radio market, and how they shake out in competitive DXing in the 36-page article at the following link
