I'm glad that someone agrees with me that that FSL antenna was too small!
The 200 watt 1440-Te Reo o Tauranga Moana in New Zealand was received during the Cook Island Ultralight DXpedition last April (at 3,000 km). If I make an FSL twice as large as the one in the photo, I should have a shot at receiving it on the Oregon coast.
