For the BEST nulling and reception since this radio is single conversion and a cousin of the Tecsun R9012 and Kaito WRX 911... It is ALWAYS RECOMMENDED to raise the FM/Shortwave antenna away from the radio slighty because of how the antenna was wired internally...

And keep the antenna collapsed while moving it away from the radio will INCREASE AM SENSITIVITY REMARKABLY!

Just a helpful note to keep in mind when using these ultralight Tecsun brand radios...
