Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 11-4
Hello All,
It was a Japanese-dominated session this morning with potent
signals from all the usual NHK big guns on 594, 693, 747, 774 and 828, and an
exceptional signal from 693-JOAB late in sunrise enhancement around 1445.
Signals from Korea and China were generally lackluster during the session,
although 972-HLCA and the 1053-Jammer both reached occasional good levels,
and there were brief appearances of 603-HLSA and 657-Pyongyang at fair
levels prior to a moderate sunrise enhancement.
My session started off at 1340 with both 594-JOAK and 693-JOAB
at steady good levels, along with fair audio from 747-JOIB, 774-JOUB, 828-JOBB,
972-HLCA, the 1053-Jammer and 1566-HLAZ in and out of the domestic splatter.
Second-tier Asians showing up at the time were 603-HLSA (poor, mixing with
China), 657-Pyongyang (poor to fair) and 738-BEL2 (poor, in KCBS splatter). The
NHK big guns on 747, 774 and 828 all managed very good signals in the predawn
darkness, with 828-JOBB hitting a brief excellent level around 1415 with its
NHK2 Korean lessons (its best performance of the season). These signals pretty
much stayed the same until a selective sunrise enhancement boost kicked in
around 1430, raising 693-JOAB up to an exceptional level, and 594-JOAK up
to excellent strength. The second-tier Asians and the Korean big guns on 972 and
1053 were not impressed by the sunrise enhancement and bailed early (around
1440), while 693-JOAB continued to build up strength until 1445, hitting its
best level of the season (and most likely its best level ever, here). Pounding
in with a Japanese female storyteller at the time, it sounded very much like it
does during an ocean coast DXpedition. It quickly collapsed along with the other
Japanese around 1450, though, ending a session completely dominated by the NHK
big guns.
693 JOAB Tokyo, Japan Japanese female storyteller at
excellent level at 1447; its best signal of the season here (and strongest
Asian signal of the session)
