My home town out that way was Lacombe (I4-NDB on 244 ) and just north of there, is Ponoka (D3-NDB on 363). You may have already logged those and if not hopefully you'll catch those for additions your log ) >>> Well, Allen, I'm happy that you can still remember your humble days in Alberta, before you became one of the top TA-DXers on the entire east coast of North America!! :-) And yes, I have heard 363-D3 in Ponoka (at least once or twice).
To be honest, I am constantly amazed at the huge number of NDB beacons in both Alberta and B.C.-- it seems that almost every little town (or make-believe town) has two or three of them. Without these numerous Canadian beacons, there is no way that I could have even tried to compete with Rob in Ultralight NDB-DXing last year. As it was, we both managed to deadlock for most of the season, until he finally edged me out at the end. We are both waiting for the other to go out into the cold and try to run up the Ultralight NDB score again.. at which point the race will be on! :-)
