Hello To All.

With the Solar K index at 4 yesterday I had the feeling it would be an interesting evening ahead on the radio. Initially I had anticipated more Latin stations audible from a southerly direction in correlation to the higher solar index number.

There were a few Latins showing up , however much of the later evening and early morning featured mainly domestic stations from Canada and the United States.

During the earlier evening , the Trans-Atlantics were quite strong and once again a few showed that I hadn't heard in some time. The BBC Relay in Cyprus on 1323 khz was one of those. Since the Voice of Russia relay in Germany has now left that frequency , Cyprus will likely be more widely heard.

1 new station was added to the Ultralight log. This one was an interesting challenge as I wasn't sure at first what I was hearing . Usually on 1305 khz Radio Nacional in Spain is the dominant signal.
The language I was hearing was not Spanish.

Checking the EMWG Guide I dismissed most of the stations listed down to two choices remaining , Iran or Israel. Once again having heard a number of Iranian stations I could pretty much dismiss Iran as the station I was hearing.

Recently having seen posted the latest frequency for Israel on Shortwave as 6.885 khz, I checked that frequency out for a parallel audio feed. Bingo !!!

1305 - ISRAEL - Galei Zahal Rosh-Pina 2:03 UTC Jan 27 Hebrew or Yiddish talk between musical selections ( one particular song that stood out in parallel on 6.885 confirmed it )
