A quick update/follow-up... 21600 is Bonus coverage specifically for the US/Can. their antenna is transmitting 300 Degrees at 250kW from Wertachtal, Germany. Website info indicates today, Christmas day, and Boxing day (Dec. 26th for us "Southerners") as the only other transmission days. www.kbcradio.eu has a page to submit RX for E-QSL.

Cheers and Happy Holidays

I know we are generally an AM/FM/LW group, but recently there has been a rather rare opportunity for reception on 21600 kHz in the 13 meter SW band. Generally the only station found here is R. Espana (Spain), and since its main direction is South, even here on the E. Coast is only fair to good at best.

A few days ago there was a report that KBC "Trucker Radio" was putting out a booming signal on 21600, with tenative location in Germany. The broadcasts have only been from 1500-1600 UT (10AM - 11AM EST) and today I thought to try it since there was a logging from AUSTRALIA!. Knowing a few things about global position, this looked like it would be worth it, and it was. This was a near-excellent RX here (SINPO 55545, just a bit of rapid weak fade) considering the frequency and time of day. I won't tip my hand as to programming, that is the prize worthy of the hunt, if so inclined. Basically, I figure anyone in the Eastern US/Can. has a good opportunity, and the W Coasters might consider it a good challenge.
