Will,

It's a poor translation from Chinese. If it's the site I'm thinking of, they say "satellite" when they mean world band or shortwave.

Here in the U.S., there is a commercial satellite broadcaster called Sirius/XM, but that's the only kind of satellite radio I'm familiar with.

Regards,

Keith B.

Hi All,

Not sure about the two sites but I have a query, from another seller.

TECSUN Portable Multi Band AM FM Radio PL390

"This is an excellent portable satellite radio of all-around use.Stylish design of this Handheld Radio takes up a minimum of space on the nightstand, desk or dresser. This Handheld Radio will fit easily into your shirt or jacket pocket! With high technology, this AM FM radio has a higher sensitivity and stability.

It doesn't have a "satellite band" does it?  Do they mean "Digital"
By the way it is not the only radio listed as "Satellite" there is more than 20 from several brands.

TECSUN Tecsun R-9702 Portable Handheld Satellite World Radio

"Take a listen to our latest innovation Portable Handheld Satellite World Radio! Get your morning motor running with this portable radio! This portable Satellite Radio will fit easily into your shirt or jacket pocket for convenience and easy portability! Stylish design of this Satellite Radio takes up a minimum of space on the nightstand, desk or dresser."

SATELLITE receiver???

I know there used to be a satellite direct broadcast but I thought it had closed down.

Cheers
Will

I'm in the market to buy a Tecsun PL-390.
do I buy it on Amazon or eBay (Anon)?
Doesn't matter, at least on price. There's one importer, and black
ones cost within a cent of each other, shipping paid. Silver ones on
Amazon are $5 cheaper.
