It's a poor translation from Chinese. If it's the site I'm thinking of, they say "satellite" when they mean world band or shortwave. 

Here in the U.S., there is a commercial satellite broadcaster called Sirius/XM, but that's the only kind of satellite radio I'm familiar with.

I know there used to be a satellite direct broadcast but I thought it had closed down.
