Re: Be a bit more openminded ?

Hello Jay,

The gentleman in question had already developed a well-deserved reputation as a chronic disrupter, distinguishing himself through such creative activities as accusing other ULR group members of claiming fake loggings, posting a 5 MB sound recording in our file section of a reception made on his WinRadio G313E, etc. This was hardly the first episode.

The Ultralight definition criteria (and overall group administration) have been instrumental in making our Ultralight DX group one of the most popular and fast-growing segments of the radio hobby. For those unable or unwilling to comply with our popular guidelines and definitions, as in the eloquent words of Rob Ross, it's probably time to say "Adios Amigos."

As I read Neil's latest post, he requests that his ability to post messages or files to the Group be suspended rather than voluntarily moving on.  So, I have obliged him and have done so.

You apparently read Neil's post very differently that did I. He wasn't being disrespectful. He wasn't being disruptive. He was rationally discussing a topic related to this group.

Suspending someone for rationally expressing an on-topic opinion is a great way to stifle the discussion and kill the group. It's now clear that members here need to be fearful of angering the moderators every time they post. If this is the way this group is going to be run, I won't be staying much longer.
