It has to be reprogrammed to accept a toggle condition (on/off) and add the switch. Someone months back was tearing apart the Si4734 to see if it was indeed reprogrammable. If I recall correctly, there is a password needed to enter the programming memory area. So it was onto experimental boards and kits at a high price.
